Obligations & Responsibilities

According to the WBSC Statutes Article 8.5, all Members shall:

Support the WBSC in its efforts to achieve its objectives;
Act in accordance with the decisions of the WBSC and the Congress;
Faithfully carry out the duties and responsibilities entrusted to them, maintaining ethical principles and moral values proper to the organisation;
Pay the annual fee and all other financial obligations timeously;
Maintain itself as a Member in good standing;
Inform the WBSC concerning the organisation of their national competitions, activities and other events/tournaments and the results of the same, and update the WBSC on the number of its own membership, athletes and such other information as may be required by the WBSC;
Ensure and where necessary, amend, their own Statutes, By-Laws, Rules, Regulations and Policies so that they are in consistent with the WBSC Statutes, Code of the Divisions, By-Laws, Rules and Regulations;
Obtain approval of WBSC for any change of name and/or its own Statutes, By-Laws, Rules and Regulations before any such changes are valid; and
Ensure that all athletes and other individuals and organisations under the jurisdiction of that Member are bound by and comply with the responsibilities and duties of the Member and with the WBSC Statutes, Code of the Divisions, By-Laws, Rules and Regulations;
Inform any changes of the organisation (name, address, contact details, merge with other organisation, cancellation of membership, etc.), the leadership of the organisation (election of the Executive Board).
