Reddick played 13 MLB seasons with five clubs: Boston Red Sox, Oakland A's, Los Angeles Dodgers, Houston Astros and Arizona Diamondbacks.

The 34-year old left-handed outfielder appeared in 1,305 games and had 1,157 hits, including 146 home runs. He posted a .262 career batting average and a .321 on-base percentage. He won a Gold Glove Award in 2012 while playing for Oakland.

Reddick helped the Houston Astros win the 2017 World Series. He was their everyday right fielder.

He appeared in just 54 games for the Diamondbacks in 2021 and was released before the end of the season. He agreed on a minor league deal with the New York Mets, but his playing time was limited to Triple-A.

At the end of the season, Reddick said in an interview: "I just want to play. I love this game, and I know when I'm done, that's it. It's over."

He confirmed he accepted the Acereros offer through his Twitter account.

The Acereros (Steelers in English) is a club based in Monclova, in the northern State of Coahuila. They finished fourth, 35-31 record, in the LMB North division in 2021. They beat the Saraperos de Saltillo in the first round of the playoffs but were eliminated by the future champions Toros de Tijuana in the second round.

LMB is a WBSC Associate Member. The 2022 season is set to open on 21 April.
