Sixty players and coaches attended the five-day event in Diessen. They earned the right to test for the WBSC level 1 coach license.

The European Softball Coaches Association (ESCA) organized their fifth camp for players and coaches. The five-day event happened in Diessen, the Netherlands.

The camp involved over 60 participants in classroom workshop sessions, and individual and small group training, including drills to improve personal skills, game situations and actual games for a total of 30 softball hours.

"I can proudly say that our fifth ESCA training camp was a major success," commented Craig Montvidas, the ESCA coordinator and a WBSC Coach Commission member. "The number one goal of the camp can be found in its motto: GETTING BETTER TOGETHER. Everyone who attended - players, coaches, and instructors - came away a lot smarter softball person."

The participants acquired the right to test to become licensed WBSC level 1 coaches.

Jurica Vidovic (Croatia) won the Coach of the Camp award.

Montvidas confirmed that he is already working on the programme of the sixth edition.
