Swiss prospect Dominic Scheffler to play baseball at Seattle University

The left-handed pitcher played at the high school level in Japan and attended the Regensburg Academy in Germany.

Swiss prospect Dominic Scheffler has committed to Seattle University.

Scheffler, a left-handed pitcher, earned 2020 best pitcher honours while playing for the Zuerich Barracudas in the second Swiss baseball division. He then moved to Japan on an exchange programme, attending Sakura Prefectural High School in Chiba.

In November 2021 Scheffler entered the Regensburg Academy in Germany.

"He came to the program in early November and the adjustments he has made are remarkable," the Academy posted on Instagram.

Scheffler, who has represented Switzerland at the U-18 and U-23 levels, will be part of the Swiss National Team for the 2022 Baseball European Championship Qualifier.
