TRANSIT VISA

We recommend reviewing your flight itinerary and check carefully if you require any transit visa during your travel to Taiwan.

Due to Covid restrictions in place - every citizen not resident in Taiwan will require an Entry Visa, even if not on the list of Countries that do normally require a visa.

The Entry Visa for all congress participants has been already approved by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

You have been already contacted by the WBSC staff in order to collect your visa at the nearest Taiwanese Consular Office in your country.

LANDING VISA

For those that have not been contacted by the WBSC staff, a Landing Visa has been organised upon arrival at the airport. You will be accompanied by the Organising Committee staff to collect your visa.

If not already done, send a copy of your complete flight ticket to congress@wbsc.org.

It will be necessary for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) to send the 'OK to Board' in the booking of the airlines.

By Monday 27 June, we will individually send you an invitation letter with Taiwanese contacts for any needs you may have upon boarding. 

We recommend that you arrive at check-in well in advance (3 hr before boarding).

Ground transportation from TPE Taoyuan International Airport and Taipei Songshan Airport to the hotel and vice-versa will be provided free of charge provided flight arrival/departure information is given to congress@wbsc.org 

Signage will be organised at the airports.

PLEASE COMMUNICATE IMMEDIATELY ANY CHANGE OF FLIGHT ITINERARY

The Congress will take place under special measures that the local Government and Host approved for this event only.

The quarantine period has been lifted, provided that the Congress is organised under a protected environment (bubble) and that all participants are fully vaccinated against Covid-19.

At the Check-in

At arrival in Taiwan:

• To provide a printed hard copy of your valid Certificate/proof of full vaccination against Covid-19; the vaccines accepted are the ones approved and recognised by WHO (World Health Organisation). 
• If you only have 1 or 2 dosis, and then you have contracted Covid-19, you will need to provide also a printed hard copy of a valid Certificate of Complete Recovery (at least in English) issued by the responsible medical body.
• Covid-19 PCR negative test will be taken upon arrival by the LOC (at no cost).

During the stay:

• Once delegates and guests arrive at the hotel, they will have to stay in the hotel, in the dedicated areas.
• Use of FFP2 or KN95 face masks will be mandatory during your staying at Hotel Marriott and will be provided by the LOC.

Return to your country:

• If you need a certificate with Covid-19 test result to return to your country, please specify it in the Accommodation Form, so that we can book it in time.

We point out that additional delegates will be subject to the same health protocol and requirements. 

Additional Delegates and/or additional Nights will be at the individual charge and will have to be settled at the check-in (payment by credit card or US$ cash).

Delegates and officials will be required to have an accreditation to enter the Congress meetings. Accreditations will be available upon your arrival (further details will be communicated on site).

Information kits and preparatory documents will be distributed.

In line with the WBSC’s sustainable development policy, the Congress Documents will be produced only in an electronic version. We hope you will welcome this approach and thank you for your understanding. If you would like to receive a printed copy of the Documents, please let the WBSC Office know in advance of the Congress date.
