ALLA IN THE 20'S IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD OF THE SHIPYARD JUMP A BALL THROWN BY A GROUP OF GRINGOS WHO BRING THE NEW GAME IN THEIR HANDS. BROTHERS JHON AND ROBERT REED WERE INSTALLED IN THE OLD NEIGHBORHOOD. IT WAS ALSO PLAYED IN THE PLAZA ESPAÑA IN THE CORNER OF CHIMBORAZO AND LETAMENDI THE GUAYAQUIL BEISBOL CLUB WAS FOUNDED WITH QUOTAS OF 50 AND 20 CENTS OF SUCRE MONTHLY.
BASEBALL WAS TAUGHT TO THE CREOLE: HOW TO CATCH THE BALL, THE GLOVE, THE BAT; HOW TO RUN AND ACHIEVE A FULL LAP. THE FIRST OFFICIAL BASEBALL MATCH THAT IS REMEMBERED HAD BEEN SET UP ON SEPTEMBER 18, 1919 IN PLAZA CHILE BETWEEN AUGUST 10 AND FEDERAL. IN THE 20's, 4 TEAMS BEGAN TO PARTICIPATE IN AMATEUR TOURNAMENTS: ITALY, LUSITANA, CENTENARIO AND ROCAFUERTE, BUT THE BASEBALL IN ECUADOR REALLY TAKEN OFF IN THE 30'S WITH THE OFFICIALIZATION OF THIS SPORTS IN THE FEDERATION OF THE SPORTS GUARD 5 NOW MORE TEAMS: BARCELONA, EMELEC, STUDENT SPORTS LEAGUE, ORIENTE AND MALDONADO. ACHIEVEMENTS OF ECUADOR AT THE INTERNATIONAL LEVEL YEAR 1963 SOUTH AMERICAN CHAMPION, YEAR 1966 BI SOUTH AMERICAN CHAMPION, YEAR 2005 CLASSIFICATION TO THE SENIOR PAN AMERICAN MADE IN CUBA IN 2006, YEAR 2011 CLASSIFYING THE WORLD CHILDREN'S CHAMPION IN TAIIORWAN, YEAR 2012 SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIP.
