15U BWC: Chinese Taipei upsets Mexico

The fans of host Mexico went home disappointed on Sunday evening at Chihuahua stadium. The I IBAF 15U Baseball World Championship had their first big upset, when Chinese Taipei erased a 0-4 deficit en route to a 6-4 victory. It was their third straight win in the tournament, which sets them up to win Group A.

It was their third straight win in the tournament, which sets them up to win Group A.

At the beginning of the game, it looked like an easy victory for Mexico, as they quickly built a 4-0 lead through four innings, scoring in three of the first four frames. But the momentum shifted towards the team from Asia in the fifth. They erased the deficit in one frame and broke the tie with a two-run eighth. Chueh Ting Chin received the win on the mound. Jose Sebastian Lizarraga was charged with the loss.
