Venezuela defeated Nicaragua 10-7 and defended the first place in Group C of the I IBAF 15U Baseball World Championship in Cuauhtémoc, Mexico.

Another triple, by Rodriguez, made Venezuela score two more runs in the fourth, then, the game took an off-hand change, with a strong comeback of Nicaragua after a number of defensive changes in team Venezuela.

A bases loaded single by Rubi batted in two runs in the bottom of the fourth, then a 3-run fifth followed, out of three hits and three errors by the Venezuelan defense.

Nicaragua’s mound did not allow any run in the last five innings: Rubi batted in the 7-10 in the eighth, but there is where the Nicaraguan comeback found an end, securing Venezuela the first place.
