2022 U-23 Men’s Softball European Championship/World Cup qualifier to be played in Czech Republic

Sezimovo Usti, Czech Republic, will organise the first European Championship for the newly created age category.

WBSC Europe revealed that the Czech city of Sezimovo Usti, approximately 83 km south of Prague, will host the first edition of the U-23 Men’s Softball European Championship, which will take place from 4-9 July 2022. The continental championship, hosted by the Czech Softball Association (CSA), will serve as a qualifier for the 2023 WBSC U-23 Men’s Softball World Cup, the second international edition in this age category.

CSA and Sezimovo Usti will also organise the 2023 U-18 and U-16 Men’s Softball European Championships, which will begin on 3 July 2023.

From 12-17 July 2021, Havlickuv Brod -- co-host of the 2019 WBSC Men’s Softball World Championship in the Czech Republic --- will stage the European qualifier for the first-ever WBSC U-23 Men’s Softball World Cup, which will be held in Argentina in 2021.
