As a star of the Albuquerque Academy, Bregman has led Team USA to a couple of gold medals in IBAF sanctioned competitions: the 2011 18 and Under (he was named the MVP) and the 2010 16 and Under Continental Games of the Americas.

Japan Amateur Baseball Association (JABA) with the support of Baseball Federation of Asia (BFA), hosted the 54th Umpire School in Suzuka City, Mie, Japan for 3 days from February 17 through 19. Although the training session on the ground met occasional snow flurries, it did not deter enthusiastic umpire students who were eager to improve their judging skills and to update themselves to the new rules.

Dominican Team wins 2012 Caribbean Series

The hosts celebrated at the 2012 Caribbean Series in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Leones del Escogido won four of six games overall to finish first and to pick up the championship at the highest baseball tournament for club teams in Latin America. The winners of the Winter Leagues in Mexico, Puerto Rico, Venezuela and the Dominican Republic participated this year.
