Excitement is already high among Japanese baseball fans waiting for the 83rd Inter-City Championship, that will be played at the Tokyo Dome from July 13 to 24. The drawing in Tokyo on June 24 attracted a large number of fans (photo: by courtesy of the Mainichi Photo Service), because the Championship, along with National High School Championship in August, is a special feature of summer that forms part of the nation’s common culture.

The much awaited baseball Coaching Clinic organised by the Nigerian Baseball and Softball Association (NBSA) and promoted by Peace Hospice in Chicago (USA) took off on 3rd of july, 2012 at “Adamsingba” Stadium Complex Ibadan and will run for 6 days. The major event is supported by the Oyo State government through the dynamic commissioner for sports Dapo Lam Adesina, the National Sports Commision, stakeholders from different parts of the country.

WBC Qualifier in Florida scheduled for September

Roger Dean Stadium in Jupiter, Florida will host one of four qualifying tournaments for the 2013 World Baseball Classic from September 19 to 23, 2012. Teams from France, Israel, South Africa and Spain will travel to the Sunshine State, hoping to qualify for the main event, which is scheduled to be held in spring of 2013.
