A coaching clinic took off in Nigeria

The much awaited baseball Coaching Clinic organised by the Nigerian Baseball and Softball Association (NBSA) and promoted by Peace Hospice in Chicago (USA) took off on 3rd of july, 2012 at “Adamsingba” Stadium Complex Ibadan and will run for 6 days. The major event is supported by the Oyo State government through the dynamic commissioner for sports Dapo Lam Adesina, the National Sports Commision, stakeholders from different parts of the country.

The clinic is a great opportunity for Nigeria Coaches to get there skills improved and impact on teams and players in Nigeria.

This is the first in the series of activities lined up by Peace Hospice in collaboration with NBSA to uplift baseball development into international level in Nigeria and make Nigeria the power house in Africa.

The clinic will be held by experienced USA coaches Charles Barbee and Gerard Hall.
Coach Barbee, for example, has a 53 year experience coaching baseball and he is also an adjunct professor in an American College

More than 35 local coaches, including officers from the physical education corps of the Nigeria Military/paramilitary and from different part of the country, have registered for this clinic, that is expected to change the face of baseball development in Nigeria.
