The Benin Baseball and Softball Federation hosted the tournament at the Stade de l'amitié General Mathieu Kerekou in Cotonou.

Seven teams participated in the adult category: Galaxie, Real Baseball in Benin, Challenger, Youth Service, Iroko, Bohicon and Scorpion.

Galaxie defeated Real Baseball in Benin in the final, 11-0.

Six teams participated in the junior category: Game Time, Yankees, Black Stars, Privileges, Rangers and Challenger.

The launch of an urban, five-on-five discipline has been a boost to baseball and softball's global development, particularly in target regions like Africa and Europe.

Requiring only a ball to play, Baseball5 will make its Youth Olympic Games debut at Dakar 2026 in Senegal.
