The new year is only 10 days old, and we’re ready for the first official international softball competition of 2019! The Mbolekwa Sports Complex, in Atteridgeville, South Africa, will host the Senior Men and Junior Women’s African Championships from 10-12 January. The final games on Saturday 12 will be live streamed by 360 Sport.
Three nations will compete in the Men’s Softball African Championship. World No. 12 South Africa, No.13 Botswana and Lesotho will battle for the two African available spots in the WBSC Men’s Softball World Championship, to be held in Prague and Havlickuv Brod, Czech Republic, from 13-23 June.
The format will be a double round Robin with the top two teams advancing to the World Championship, and playing the finals on Saturday for the African crown.
