PANAMA CITY, Panama – All 12 participating National Teams will be in action on Friday to open the inaugural Pan American U-23 Baseball Championship in Panama.

Opening Day

  • Nr Costa Rica v No. 40 Peru
  • No. 21 Argentina v No. 5 Cuba
  • No. 18 Brazil v No. 9 Venezuela
  • No. 65 Honduras v No. 16 Dominican Republic
  • No. 11 Puerto Rico v No. 17 Colombia
  • No. 6 Mexico v No. 15 Panama

The top four nations from the 54-game continental championship, which ends on Sunday, 3 December, will advance to represent the Americas in the WBSC U-23 Baseball World Cup 2018.

National Team rosters at the Pan Am U-23 Baseball Championship are filled with players in the organisations of various professional leagues, such as Major League Baseball (MLB) and the Mexican Baseball League (LMB), as well as the top league in Cuba, the Cuban National Series.

How to Watch

Panama public broadcaster SERTV has been awarded the host broadcasting rights of the continental championship.

Games will be live-streamed via the Facebook page of the Panama Baseball Federation (FEDEBEIS).
