The governing bodies of baseball and softball have agreed to work together to spread the new WBSC urban discipline in the South American nation and jointly form the Baseball5 Argentina national teams.

The Argentina Baseball Federation (FAB) and the Confederation of Argentina Softball (CAS) have signed an agreement to form a joint Baseball5 Division, aiming to jointly develop Baseball5 across the country.

Baseball5 was formally introduced in Argentina in 2018, with a dedicated space at the Buenos Aires 2018 Youth Olympic Games (YOG) Initiation Zone, where spectators had the opportunity to try Baseball5 and learn the fundamental skills of the game. The post-games legacy helped Baseball5 to gain in popularity in the country, with new tournaments held in San Luis and Buenos Aires.

FAB and CAS have named two Baseball5 coordinators who will serve as instructors for the development of the discipline and also as managers of the national teams: Victor Aramayo, who participated as an instructor at the Buenos Aires YOG, and Guillermo Spotorno, a WBSC Level 1 Coach.

The Argentine national bodies unveiled a video to introduce the new Baseball5 Division.
