Argentina Women’s Softball League set to open, games live-streamed

Starting today, Friday, 23 April, four teams will take the field to play, the Litoral Regional stage: CEF, Club Atletico Estudiantes, Oro Verde and Universidad de Rio Cuarto. All games will be live-streamed through the WUM Sports website.

After the pre-qualification stage, the regular season of the Argentine Women’s National Softball League (Liga Nacional Femenina - LNF) is set to open today. The season will kick off with the first of four regional tournaments. The event will be held in Parana and all games will be live-streamed via the WUM Sports website.

Four teams will take the field to play today, the Litoral Reagional stage: CEF, Club Atletico Estudiantes, Oro Verde and Universidad de Rio Cuarto.

The final of the regional tournament is slated for Sunday, 25 April, at 2 p.m. local time. The winner of the event will advance to the Final Four, scheduled for November this year.

The presentation of the league was in February, with the launching of the pre-qualification series.

The LNF is a 16-team competition. In the opening round, there will be four regional events, covering Argentina's North, Littoral, Central and South regions. Each regional event will have four teams, coming from the region’s local associations. The winner of the final four will be crowned as LNF Champion.

Argentina is the 27th ranked nation in the WBSC Women’s Softball World Rankings.
