The Astronautas de los Santos swept the Federales de Chiriqui to win the best-of-five championship series of Panama's Professional Baseball League (LPBP).

Game three was dramatic. The Federales entered the bottom of the ninth with a three-run lead, but the Astronautas scored three runs against Yoanner Negrin to reverse the lead and clinch the pennant. Reliever Wilfredo Pereira earned the win.
Raul Rodriguez, the Astronautas' manager, commented: "I thank God for the opportunity to manage the Astronauts to the title. There's no better way of winning where my roots are, which is Los Santos."
The Astronautas roster included some players with Major League Baseball (MLB) experience: pitchers Randall Delgado, Severino González, Davis Romero, Enrique Burgos and catcher Christian Bethancourt.
LPBP, founded in 2001, resumed playing for the 2021-22 season after the COVID-19 outbreak forced the cancellation of the 2020-2021 season.
