Women's Baseball in Australia will have a national platform on which to be promoted and showcased as leaders from the national governing body, Baseball Australia, unveil plans to launch pro league.

Baseball Australia will showcase Women's Baseball through four games played by the nation's top players in doubleheaders at two different locations in early 2021.

The first doubleheader is planned for 17 January 2021 in West Beach, Adelaide. The games will be broadcasted on Fox Sports channels and streamed on Kayo Sports as part of a broader agreement that covers the Australian Baseball League.

"The showcase will be a critically important starting point to the formal path to a professional women’s baseball league in Australia in 2021/22," said Baseball Australia's CEO Cam Vale.

The location and date of the second doubleheader will be announced in a future news release.

Baseball Australia is supporting a fund-raising campaign aimed at building a professional women's baseball league in the country. The donations have so far reached 31,176 Australian Dollars.
