Baseball for the Blind coaching webinars staged by Italian federation FIBS

A total of 30 coaches, including representatives from all teams in Italy's Baseball for the Blind league, participated in the two online sessions.

Italy's Baseball for the Blind national league (LIBCI, Lega Italiana Baseball Ciechi & Ipovedenti) has hit another milestone, successfully launching the first coaching webinars in the discipline.

A total of 30 coaches, representing all LIBCI teams, participated in the webinar, which was broken down into two sessions.

The newest team to join the league -- "Over Limits Crema" from northwestern Lombardy -- had four coaches join the webinar.

Alberto Mazzanti, the President of LIBCI, opened the webinar. Fabio Borselli, the president of the Coaches Commission of the Italian Baseball and Softball Federation (FIBS, Federazione Italiana Baseball Softball) confirmed that Baseball for the Blind is now a branch of FIBS' coaches educational programme.

The webinar was run by Stefano Malaguti, the Secretary-General of LIBCI. The morning session was focused on practice organization for defence. In the afternoon session, Malaguti spoke about hitting and how to put together a line-up.

The last part of the afternoon session was dedicated to question and answers.
