Italy's Baseball for the Blind season to begin on 5 September

It will be a seven-team championship. Semifinals are scheduled on 3 and 4 October. The final is scheduled for 10 October.

The Italian Baseball for the Blind League (LIBCI-Lega Italiana Baseball Ciechi & Ipovedenti) 2020 season will be a seven-team league. Clubs will compete in two groups.

The participants in the West group are Patrini Malnate, Thurpos Cagliari and Tigers Cagliari. Opening Day is Saturday, 5 September, in Cagliari, Sardinia Region.

Four teams will compete in group East: Fortitudo Bologna White Sox, Leonessa Brescia, Roma and Perugia. Opening Day is Sunday, 6 September.

Group play will develop through two round robins. Each game will consist of seven innings and if teams are tied at the end, a draw will be ruled.

The top two finishers of each league will advance to the semifinals on Saturday 3 October and Sunday 4 October in Bologna and Sasso Marconi, Emilia-Romagna Region. In case of a tie, teams will play extra innings according to the tie-break rule in which every at-bat will begin with runners at second and third.

The winners will play for the league title in the final, scheduled on Saturday 10 October in Bologna. The final will be another seven-inning game. If the teams are tied at the end, they will play as many extra-innings as needed.
