Baseball5 Open de France: Third edition scheduled for 21 and 22 January

The indoor facility Great Artenium in Ceyrat, Clermont-Ferrand, will host a 16-team tournament for players over the age of 16 and a five-team U-15 event.

The French Baseball and Softball Federation (FFBS) announced that the great Artenium, a brand new indoor sports facility in the city of Ceyrat, Clermont-Ferrand suburb, will host on 21 and 22 January the third edition of the Baseball5 French National Open.

The event consists of a 16-team tournament for players over the age of 16 and a five-team U-15 competition.

The senior tournament consists of a four-group first round, with the top two finishers of each group advancing to the quarterfinals.

The Squales won the first two editions and look again like the favourites. Their roster includes five players who have helped France win the Baseball5 European Championship and the U-17 European Championship.

The Renards won the inaugural U-15 tournament in 2022. The 2023 edition will feature a round-robin. The top four finishers will then compete in the semifinals.
