Baseball5 featured on 'New Passion' TV show in Colombia
The new five-on-five version of baseball/softball is continuing to grow in popularity around the world.
The Softball Federation of Colombia has a project to develop Baseball5 into the country. It is named Proyecto B5 Colombia and has the support of TV station Telecaribe.
Colombian TV show La Nueva Pasion (New Passion) featured a segment on WBSC's newest five-on-five discipline.
In Telecaribe's promo video, two Colombian TV personalities state: "There are no bats, no gloves and no home runs hit -- this is Baseball5."
Baseball5, launched in 2017 and played with nothing but a ball, will be featured at the Youth Olympic Games in 2022. The five-on-five, equipment-less game was inspired by a similar street game played in Cuba.
