Ben Couvreur five-inning no-hitter gives France first-ever U-15 Baseball World Cup win

The left-handed pitcher tossed five innings with only two walks and seven strikeouts.

Ben Couvreur tossed a five-inning no-hitter to lead France to their first-ever victory at a WBSC U-15 Baseball World Cup. The French squad defeated Guam, 10-0, Thursday morning, in Placement Round game at Sonora Stadium in Hermosillo, Mexico.

The lefty starter used 69 pitches, 47 strikes, to complete the run-rule shortened game. He struck out seven opponents and walked only three.

France's leadoff hitter Victor Feliu scored three times while Mathis Bausset and Achille Ternant drove in two runs each.

France and Guam are now 1-1 in the Placement 10th-13th place.
