More than 300 junior men’s softball players from four countries (Czech Republic, Denmark, Israel, and New Zealand) competed in three different categories during the Mike Stapleton Memorial tournament, held in Prague from 10-12 May. A total of 24 teams played 65 games to crown the U-13, U-16, and U-19 champions in the biggest boys event in europe.

It was the fourth edition of this event, originally called Joudrs International Cup, and renamed this year as Mike Stapleton Memorial tournament.

The event was named to honour WBSC Softball Hall of Famer Mike Stapleton, a lifelong softball lover and manager who worked for Czech Republic, Guatemala and Argentina national teams. He was inducted to the WBSC Hall of Fame in 2015, a few months after he passed away.

Hroši Havlíčkův Brod won the U-19 tournament.

Among the 16-years-olds the triumph was seized by one of two Israeli sides, Warriors White.

Finally, Žraloci Ledenice grabbed the gold in U-13.
