The hosts defeated Romania in the final while Serbia finished third ahead of Moldova.

Bulgaria won the Balkan Baseball5 Championship, played in the spectacular setting of the Bulgaria Mall in Sofia on the weekend. The hosts defeated Romania, 3-1 and 4-1, in the final series.

The four-team tournament consisted of a single round robin. The first and second place National Teams competed for the title, while third and fourth place finishers played for third place.

These were the results of the round robin:
Serbia-Bulgaria 0-7
Romania-Moldova 3-0
Bulgaria-Moldova 8-0
Serbia-Romania 5-1
Bulgaria-Romania 5-8
Moldova-Serbia 3-18

Serbia defeated Moldova, 11-10, in the bronze medal game.

The first edition of the Balkan Baseball5 Championship was played in Sofia in September 2018.

The first Baseball5 European Championship is scheduled from 28 February to 1 March in Vilnius, Lithuania.
