Caimanes de Barranquilla win Colombia Professional Baseball League title

It's the 11th league championship for the franchise. Dominican pitcher Eduar Lopez was named the MVP of the final series. Meanwhile, the 2020-21 season in Panama has been suspended.

It took a full seven games for the Caimanes de Barranquilla to defeat the Vaqueros de Monteria in the best-of-seven final series. The championship is Barranquilla's 11th title in the Colombian Professional Baseball League (LCPB, Liga Profesional de Béisbol Colombiano) history.

Caimanes were trailing three games to one, when they found the strength to win the series' last three games. David Holmberg, a 29-year old left-hander who appeared in 51 Major League Baseball (MLB) games between the 2013 and 2015 seasons, earned two of these wins. Dominican hurler Eduar Lopez earned the other. Lopez was also honoured as the MVP of the series.
