Colombia Professional Baseball League final series to open 16 January

The whole season has been played in the bubble of Edgar Renteria Stadium in Barranquilla.

The Caimanes de Barranquilla will play the Vaqueros de Monteria in the final series of the Colombian Professional Baseball League (LPCB, Liga Profesional de Beisbol Colombiano). Game one of the seven-game series is scheduled for Saturday, 16 January.

The regular season opened on 28 November. The Tigres de Cartagena finished first with an 18-8 record, followed by the Vaqueros de Monteria (14-10) and the Caimanes de Barranquilla (13-11). The Gigantes de Barranquilla finished fourth, the only club with a losing record, 5-19.

Caimanes and Vaqueros tied for first place in the round-robin, played from 2 to 13 January. The Tigres finished third with a 2-6 record.

All games have been played in a bubble at Edgar Renteria Stadium in Barranquilla, which was the main venue of the WBSC U-23 Baseball World Cup 2018.
