Colombian Professional Baseball League final series to open on 15 January

The Vaqueros de Monteria will challenge defending champions Caimanes de Barranquilla. WBSC U-23 Baseball World Cup All-World Team players highlight the rosters.

The Vaqueros de Monteria will face defending champions Caimanes de Barranquilla in the best-of-seven final series of the Colombian Professional Baseball League (LPB, Liga Profesional de Béisbol). The series will open on Saturday, 15 January. Game 4 is scheduled for Wednesday, 19 January, while Game 7, if needed, is scheduled for Sunday, 23 January.

The Vaqueros' roster includes WBSC U-23 Baseball World Cup All-World Team reliever Jhon Peluffo, outfielder Jesus Marriaga. U-23 World Cup MVP Gustavo Campero plays for the Caimanes.

The Division of Colombian Pro Baseball (Diprobéisbol) is in charge of LPB on behalf of the Colombian Baseball Federation. The four participating teams (Vaqueros, Caimanes, Gigantes de Barranquilla, Tigres de Cartagena) competed in a 36-game regular season. The top three seeds played a 6-game round robin, with the top two finishers advancing to the final series.
