Croatian baseball best-of-7 final set to open on Saturday
Olimpija Karlovac and Nada SM Split will play for the Croatian men’s national championship in a best-of-seven series.

The Final Series -- best of seven -- of the Croatian Men’s Baseball Championship 2020 begins this Saturday in Karlovac. It will be the ninth consecutive clash between Olimpija Karlovac and Nada SM Split, with the historical record tied 4-4. Five of those Final Series went the distance, a full seven games.

Olimpija is the favorite, having gone undefeated this year with the impressive record of 19-0.

The Final Series (best of seven) starts with the games in Karlovac this Saturday and Sunday, followed by Games 3, 4 and the possible Game 5 in Split next Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The Final Series will end in Karlovac for the Games 6 and 7 (if needed) on the 26th and 27th of September.

The five-team league opened the season in mid-June. Vindi and Zagreb will play for the third place in a best-of-three games series.

Currently, Croatia is the 41st-ranked nation in the WBSC Baseball World Rankings.
