SEOUL – The world No. 8 South Korean National Team and the Korean Baseball Organization (KBO) are hosting world No. 3 Cuba as part of the grand opening of the Seoul Gocheok Sky Dome.

The South Korean and Cuban National Teams are meeting for two WBSC-sanctioned exhibition games to tune up for the Premier12, which runs from 8-21 November in Japan and Taiwan.

Construction on the dome broke ground in 2008 and was opened on 16 September 2015. The facility seats 25,000 and KBO’s Nexen Heroes will call the dome their new home starting next season.

Following the two-game series, South Korea will head to Sapporo, Japan to prepare for the Premier12 opener against No. 1 Japan on Sunday, while Cuba will fly to Taichung, Taiwan to prepare for their opener against Canada on November 10th.
