Czech Republic tops Germany to win U-23 European Championship, both qualify for U-23 Baseball World Cup 2020 in Mexico
Eight European nations battled in the continental championship, including Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Great Britain, Netherlands and Ukraine. The games in Prague were the first to be played under the new seven-inning regulation of the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC).
PRAGUE, Czech Republic — Central European baseball powerhouse Czech Republic defeated Germany, 4-1, in the Final of the U-23 European Baseball Championship 2019.

The games in Prague were the first to be played under the new seven-inning regulation of the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC).
Czech Republic went undefeated on home soil, escaping a 10-9 scare with France in the semi-finals. Czech slugger Martin Muzik was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player.
In the bronze medal match, Belgium shut out France, 2-0.
Netherlands, the top-ranked team in Europe and previous U-23 European champion, finished in 5th Place.
