Puerto Rican 'Double A League' set to resume in August at the latest

Federation President José Quiles Rosas met the representatives of the 41 franchises. The season came to a stop in March due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Puerto Rican Baseball Federation is taking steps to resume the 2020 season of the Liga de Béisbol Superior Doble A sometime in July or in August at the latest, the federation announced following a league meeting. The number of total games will be reduced.

"We had a very productive meeting," explained the federation president José Quiles. "Each representative of the 41 franchises had the opportunity to express their respective suggestions."

Quiles added that any decision regarding the 2020 season would only be taken with the full consideration and health/safety of the players, umpires, officials, administrative staff and fans.

The Liga de Béisbol Superior Doble A is national league organized by the Puerto Rico Baseball Federation. The league came to a stop in March, due to the COVID-19 pandemic
