“I’ll keep working, as usual, to broadly disseminate our sport,” said Diaz after the election. “We have a lot of projects to take our softball to the top places on the Americas continent.”
The FCS president said his immediate goals at the international level are to prepare the Colombian National Team for the WBSC U-18 Women’s Softball World Cup, which is set to be played in Peru from 28 August to 5 September, and the Junior Pan American Games in Cali. The federation will also host the U-23 Men’s Softball Pan American Championship in Barrancabermeja, a qualifier for the category’s WBSC World Cup. Another top focus will be on the Colombian Softball High Performance Training Center.
The executive board is composed by Diaz (President), Jose Berrocal (First Vice President), Enrique Batista (Second Vice President), Carlos Maldonado (Secretary), Félix Devoz (Treasurer), Lucia Jay and Sofanor Villa (Member at large).
