Efraín Williams steps in as new Executive Director of Puerto Rican Baseball Federation

He replaces Pedro Vargas Vega and will keep his job as general manager of the National Teams.

The Puerto Rican Baseball Federation named Efraín Williams González as the new executive director of the organization. Williams will maintain his position as general manager of the Puerto Rican National Teams.

Williams played in the Superior Double-A League and has over 600 career hits. He was inducted into the Puerto Rican Amateur Hall of Fame and previously served as a member of the federation's Executive Board as the athletes' representative.

He graduated in management, majoring in computer programming, and earned a Master's Degree in Information Systems Administration. He has worked for 32 years with the University of Puerto Rico.

"Efraín earned the respect of the baseball fans as a player," said José Daniel Quiles Rosas, president of the Puerto Rican Baseball Federation. "He fits the position of Executive Director perfectly."

Williams will replace Pedro Vargas Vega, who resigned for personal reasons.
