Finnish Baseball & Softball Fed unveils new logo, mascot, website, National Team sponsor

The Bear is the new mascot of the Finnish National Baseball and Softball Teams, which will also be branded as the "Bears".

The Finnish Baseball and Softball Federation (SBSL, Suomen Baseball ja Softball Liitto) -- also known as Baseball Finland -- unveiled a new logo, mascot and website in preparation for the governing body's 40th anniversary, which will be celebrated in 2021.

"Our federation is working on fundraising and looking for new corporate sponsors," commented Jukka ROPPONEN, SBSL President. "There would not be a better time to launch a fresh new brand."

The bear on the logo is the new mascot of the Finnish National Teams, which will be dubbed "The Bears".

SBSL also announced a new partner for Finland's National Baseball Team.

US-based sport grips manufacturer Lizard Skins has become a sponsor of The Bears Finnish National Baseball Team, supplying all players with bat grips for the European Baseball Championship qualifier.

Currently, Finland is ranked 61st in the WBSC Baseball World Rankings and is unranked in softball.
