WBSC's 32nd edition of the 'GameTime Classics' series will showcase the 2019 WBSC U-19 Women’s Softball World Cup Bronze Medal Game between Canada and Australia. The game was played on 17 August at Bill Barber Park in Irvine, California, USA. Canada were aiming to win their first medal in history, while Australia aspired to be back on the podium after two editions and a six-year hiatus, which would be their sixth bronze medal in the event.
Canada reached the Bronze Medal Game with win:loss record of 5:2 in the Super Round. Losses against USA and Japan prevented Canada from advancing to the World Championship Game. Australia advanced to the bronze medal game with more losses than wins, at 3:4. USA, Mexico, Japan and Canada defeated the Aussies in the Super Round.
Samantha Ryan started for the fifth time in the tournament for Canada, while Australian Head Coach Kerrie Porter gave the ball to her ace, Georgia Hood.
