The defending champions Germany confirmed as U-15 European Champions winning, 10-3, the final that Italy played on home turf in Nettuno. The Netherlands are out of the U-15 World Cup after entering the semifinal with a clean record

NETTUNO-Italy-World number 22 Germany and number 16 Italy are the first National Teams to qualify for the WBSC U-15 Baseball World Cup 2020.

Germany, that has a 4-0 record in the tournament so far, outscored, 13-2, the Czech Republic in five innings.
Moritz Van Bergen went 4.2 innings and allowed only two hits to earn the win, while Elie Musoni got the final out on strikes.
The BundesTeam lineup combined for 11 hits, with third baseman Hundt going 3 for 3 and left fielder Harrison going 2 for 3.

Italy defeated The Netherlands, 5-3. The hosts had struggled for most of the group play, going 1-2 and qualifying only thanks to a better Team Quality Balance (TQB) in the three-way tie with Russia and France.

In the semifinal, played in front of a crowd of over 1,000 fans, the Dutch had an early lead. Italy’s starter Alessandro Ercolani allowed back to back singles and a wild pitch to begin the game and the Netherlands capitalized thanks to a base hit by second baseman Dambruck.
Ercolani went on to pitch six solid innings and earn the win. Italy’s offence made the most of four defensive errors, two in a key three-run fourth Italian at-bat.
Ercolani was also the best hitter, going 2 for 3 with one run batted in.
