International coach Shali Mograni and international umpire Hatem Bouzidi, both Tunisians, led the course, introducing Baseball5 rules, basic mechanics of the sport, field applications, warm-up exercises, training drills and various playing methods (boys - girls - mixed) for different age groups, all of them supported with pictures and videos.

After the conclusion of the international Baseball5 training course, a joint working session was held between the Egyptian and Tunisian baseball softball federations to discuss ways of cooperation between the two Northern-African nations, particularly regarding courses, training camps, international tournaments, expertise exchange, promoting and developing the game, and the elaboration a future action-plan targeting youth in the region.

In August, the first Baseball5 competition at a national level was held in Egypt with the participation of eight teams.
