The general assembly of the Autonomous Sports Confederation of Guatemala named Héctor Rubén Sazo Hernández as a member of the Commission that supports the protection of talent in sports.
Mr Sazo Hernandez is the President of the National Softball Association of Guatemala (Asociacion Deportiva Nacional de Softbol-ASOSOFT).
Softball enjoyed a successful 2019 season in Guatemala. The U-17 Men's National Team finished fourth in the first Pan American Championship, played on home turf. Guatemala will participate in the U-18 Men's Softball World Cup, that will open WBSC season in Palmerston North, New Zealand, from 22 February to 1 March 2020 .
The Autonomous Sports Confederation of Guatemala (Confederación Deportiva Autónoma de Guatemala-CDAG) is the governing body of the national federated sport. It brings together all the federations and sports associations of the country.
