Hong Kong to hold its first online softball coaching training course

Hong Kong currently sits at 19th in WBSC Men’s Softball World Rankings and 39th in women’s softball.

The Hong Kong Softball Association (HKSA) will conduct the organisation’s first online level-one coach training course, which will be divided into two parts, theory and practice. The course consists of two theory sessions and a practice session at Tianguangdao Softball Field and will be led by four instructors, who attended the first WBSC/Softball Asia Softball Coaching Certification Seminar for Levels 1 and 2** in Malaysia last year. The activity is funded by the Jockey Club Coach Education Program.

After the coaches complete the online theory course and pass the evaluation, they will be given HKSA's level-one instructor certificate.

The two theory sessions will be held via Zoom on 28 February and March 7, lasting four hours each. The on-field session will be on 13 March. The full course will be conducted in Cantonese language. All interested coaches can register until 24 February.
