To celebrate the “birthday” of the modern Olympic Games the IOC introduced Olympic Day in 1948. The goal is to promote participation in sport across the globe regardless of age, gender or athletic ability. On 23 June, Olympic Day is celebrated all around the world: hundreds of thousands of people – young and old – get moving and participate in sporting and cultural activities, such as runs, exhibitions, music and educational seminars.

This year’s festivities will be held from June 22 to July 1. IBAF President Riccardo Fraccari has been invited and will attend the meeting and the celebrations on June 23.
