Iran Baseball Softball Federation signs MOU with Municipality of Tehran

The MOU also aims at educating coaches and umpires and organizing Baseball, Softball and Baseball5 seminars for volunteers and the employees of the Municipality of Tehran.

The Iran Baseball & Softball Association (IBASA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Municipality of Tehran. The goal is to develop Baseball, Softball and Baseball5 in the capital city., which is home to 9.1 million people.

The agreement was signed by Houman Mansourian, the President of IBASA, and Amir Mohseni, CEO of the Sports Organization of the Municipality of Teheran.

"The main goal of the MOU is to promote the health and well being of the citizens of Tehran by using the tools and capacities of both the IBASA and the Municipality," IBASA said in a statement.

The MOU also aims at educating coaches and umpires and organizing Baseball, Softball and Baseball5 seminars for volunteers and the employees of the Municipality. The three disciplines will be included in the programme of sports events and exhibitions organized in Tehran.

A middle term goal is also developing men's and women's Municipality teams in different age brackets. A total of 80,000 people work for the Municipality of Teheran.
