Iran: Baseball5 seminar hopes to get more women in the game

The course is the first result of the MOU signed by the national governing body with capital city Tehran.

The Iran Baseball & Softball Association (IBASA) held a three-day Baseball5 clinic for female coaches of 22 districts of the Municipality of Tehran.

A total of 89 people participated in the course across three different districts of the capital city: 14 in District 5, 35 in District 10 and 40 in District 15.

IBASA President Houman Mansourian attended the final day of the clinic together with high-ranking officials of the Iran Federation of Sports Associations, the Municipality of Tehran and the Tehran Sports organization.

The course is the first accomplishment of the Memorandum of Understanding that IBASA signed in August of 2020 with the Municipality of Tehran.
