The Mexican Baseball Federation and the International Sports Group, a non for profit organization which hosts baseball coaches training programs around the world joined forces to host a one week coach’s course in Mexico City for coaches from all over Mexico.

The ISG coaches group which went to Mexico was headed up by Peter Caliendo ISG Board member and owner of Caliendo Sports International, along with Coaches David Osinski, Head Instructor and researcher for American Baseball Foundation, Inc and Jorge Jaime, J & M Baseball Academy Director.

The one week course was a certification level one which coaches in Mexico have to take in order to coach. The course consisted of field work for the coaches, hands on instruction and video analysis in the class room. The coaches also organized a practice for a 7-8 year old team on the major league field in Mexico City and incorporated the Mexican coaches in the training.

“This coach’s course was one that gave knowledge to the coaches but also tested their skills and their teaching ability” said Enrique Mayorga, Vice President of the Mexican Baseball Federation.

The President of the Mexican Baseball Federation and an IBAF Executive Committee member, Colonel Alonzo Perez also visited the course to view the coaches working.
