Italian Blind Baseball season to open on 25 March

Umbria Redskins and Roma will play the opening game. Three more games are scheduled for Sunday, 26 March. The top four finishers of the nine-team regular season will advance to the semifinals.

Umbria Redskins and Roma will open the Italian Blind Baseball League (LIBCI) on Saturday, 25 March, in Perugia. Three more games are scheduled for the following day: Leonessa Brescia-Patrini Malnate, Thunder's Five Milano-Lampi Milano and Fiorentina-Bologna White Sox.

Nine teams will participate in the 2023 edition of the league: two-time defending champions Fortitudo Bologna White Sox, Patrini Malnate, Lampi Milano, Thunder’s Five Milano, Leonessa Brescia, Fiorentina, Umbria Redskins, Roma All Blinds and Thurpos Cagliari.

The regular season will have a single-round-robin format. All games will be nine innings.
The regular season will finish on 11 June. The top four finishers will advance to the playoffs.

Semifinals are scheduled on 24 and 25 June. The Pietro Leoni Stadium in Bologna will host the final on 1 July.

The season will resume in September with the All-Star Game (9 and 10 September) and finish with the Italian Cup's final on 29 and 30 September.
