The World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) today announced that the IV WBSC Congress will take place from 12-13 April, 2022 in Taipei City (TPE).
The announcement of the dates follows a decision in October 2020 by WBSC Members to postpone the Congress from November 2021 to the first quarter of 2022 out of consideration of the latest Covid-19 safety regulations while also striving to have as many onsite attendees as possible whilst also avoiding, what was previously foreseen as, a potentially congested events calendar in the second half of 2021.
The postponement of the IV WBSC Congress, which will stage elections, including for WBSC President, also allowed National Federations to hold their own congresses following baseball-softball’s return to the Olympic Games at Tokyo 2020.
More details about the agenda and logistics of the Congress will be communicated to members in the near future.
