Jacinto David Amaiz, WBSC Softball Hall of Fame member, passes away in Venezuela

He was inducted into the WBSC Softball Hall of Fame in 2009.

The softball world mourns the loss of Jacinto David Amaiz, long-time Venezuelan Softball Federation leader and member of the WBSC Softball Hall of Fame.

Amaiz served as a delegate of the Venezuelan National Softball Team at two WBSC Men’s World Championships (2000 & 2009) and one Junior Men’s Softball World Championship (2008). His involvement with international softball, which spanned almost 20 years, also included four International Softball (now the WBSC Softball Division) Congresses, which he attended as a Venezuelan delegate.

He was the Secretary/Treasurer of the South American Softball Confederation from 1995-2001 and was a delegate of Venezuela’s Men’s National Team to multiple Pan American Championships and Central American & Caribbean Games.

He was inducted into the WBSC Softball Hall of Fame in 2009.
