USA Baseball named Frank Jagoda the Director of the U-18 National Team. He will oversee the day-to-day operations of the U-18 National Team programme. He will also be in charge of the U-17 and U-16 Development programmes and will work together with the recently announced Prospect Development Pipeline League.
Frank Jagoda got started with his coaching career at Jamestown Community College and in the New York Collegiate Baseball League in 2012. He was then an assistant coach at Canisius College (2013-2014) and the pitching coach and recruiting coordinator for Wingate University in 2015. In 2016 and 2017 he was the Head Coach for the Patrick Henry Community College. Most recently he served as the Pitching Coach for Rehabilitation of the MLB Minnesota Twins.
Jagoda is not in his first stint with USA Baseball. He served as an assistant coach for the U-15 National Team, that won the COPABE U-15 Pan Am Championship 2017.
His first task will be the WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup in Gijang, Korea.
“We are thrilled to welcome Frank Jagoda to the organization in a full-time capacity as the 18U National Team Director,” commented USA Baseball’s Executive Director and CEO Paul Seiler. “Frank has been a part of the USA Baseball family as a coach and task force member since 2014 and we are confident his experience and coaching philosophies will translate perfectly to this role, as we continue to build upon the incredible achievements of our national teams, national team development programmes and our athletes.”
