He led the US to their first-ever U-15 World Title in 2018. USA Baseball also named Elliott Avent the Collegiate National Team manager.

USA Baseball has named Jason Maxwell as the new manager of the 2021 U.S. U-18 National Team.

Maxwell led the U-15 USA National Team to their first-ever world title back in 2018, at the WBSC U-15 Baseball World Cup.

"We are excited to have Jason Maxwell at the helm of the U-18 National Team this year as we play for a world championship on our home soil," U-18 National Team General Manager Ashley Bratcher said. "Jason has been a part of our coaching system for years, and we are confident he will guide the 18U National Team program to tremendous success."

Maxwell will lead the US National Team to the WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup 2021 on home soil in Bradenton, Florida.

He is the head coach at Ensworth School (Nashville, Tennessee) and is currently in his 17th season at the helm. He has led the program to eight straight playoff appearances.

"I am extremely grateful and honoured to be named the manager of the USA Baseball 18U National Team," said Maxwell. "There is a standard of excellence associated with USA Baseball, so having the opportunity to represent your country and wear the USA jersey is a privilege that I do not take for granted."

USA Baseball also announced that Elliott Avent, the North Carolina State head coach, will manage the Collegiate National Team fpr the 2021 summer season.
